Stretch Your WashCOG Donations with Amazon and Give BIG

Contributors to the Washington Coalition for Open Government can stretch their donations with good timing or savvy shopping.

The Amazon online shopping mart will make a donation to the Washington Coalition for Open Government when you spend money at its site.

Through the AmazonSmile program, Amazon donates 0.5 percent of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. AmazonSmile has the same merchandise and prices as the familiar Amazon site, but offers a charitable donation based on the amount you spend.

Your next online shopping trip can support WashCOG if you log onto Amazon through WashCOG’s AmazonSmile entry port.

Also, coming up is the annual Seattle Foundation Give BIG event, which provides a single site to donate to numerous charities and causes (including WashCOG). Donations get some matching funds from the Foundation, so your contribution gets a little larger when you give through the Give BIG event.
